No doubt one of beauties one can explore is water coming down freely from the edge of a cliff. The more and the higher- the better.
Well, turns out Bali has a lot to offer in terms of waterfalls. The Tegenungan Waterfall will be subject of this post and as you can see it’s quite spectacular. As always I’ll cover the basics for you.

How do I get there?

a google map that shows the way with a car from ubud city in bali to tegenungan waterfall
Where is Tegenungan?

Even though Denpasar (40 min away by car) is the capital city of Bali, you will most probably go to Tegenungan from Ubud which is considered as the cultural capital of the island and chances are you will find yourself there at least for a day. So from Ubud to Tegenungan Waterfall is about 30 minutes by car. The parking there is free. From the parking there will be 165 steps that will separate you from waterfall. It’s fun to go down, seeing how Tegenungan waterfall slowly reveals his beauty. Not much fun when you climb them to go back up..

Have in mind that there is no step free access to Tegenungan Waterfall.

Is there an entry fee?

Well, yes, there is BUT the entry is 15 000 rupiahs which is less than £1.

What can I do there?

Turns out quite a lot, starting from the most important one: YES, you can go in the water! Some waterfalls might be difficult to be reached but that one is fine. You will only have restriction of how further you can go inside which means you can’t go under the waterfall. There is a small waterfall just before you reach the big one. You can go under it.

Once you are there, you will have multiple options to take cool pictures.

There will be multiple picture opportunities
