A sugar shack, also known as sap house, sugar house, sugar shanty or sugar cabin. are small cabins or groups of cabins where sap, collected from sugar maple trees, is boiled into maple syrup. They are mainly found in Eastern Canada and northern New England. The reason for finding them only in those locations is that this is where you will find maple trees. It appears this is a great attraction and if you get the timing right, you are in for a treat… literally 😀
